Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

It reminds me of a flower. It sometimes feels like I work to put my dentist's kids through school!

Excellent capture and description

Oh, I love that finger-lickin-good manna! I think by rinsing your mouth with water right after eating it you may delay that trip to the dentist. Stellar shot of the sticky stuff, Marilyn!

I used to love this stuff, but haven't had it in years!

Spun sugar. Used to love the stuff but never had any money. That's part of what I call the Cosmic Screw. When I was young and could eat anything I wanted, I never had any money. Now that I am older and have money I can't eat anything. Nice shot, thanks for the temptation.

It caused a series of cases of food-poioning in my town when I was a kid, so I never fancied it. Now a nice lamb-chop....

I ate my share years ago...vividly recall the sticky cheeks and fingers. Hey, just noticed the plastic covers on each...I am sure I ate a lot of midway dust as a kid:)

Oh lord ... I'll pass ... too sweet for me! I like the shape of the packages against the strips of the mown grass. Very cool!

Oh, I once loved this stuff and I still have nostalgic hankerings for it--in conjunction with ladies in spangles and sequins doing all sorts of dangerous things on a trapeze, or rather close to wild animals trained to jump through hoops while pretending NOT to be interested in mauling their trainers. And the small of animal dung! There's just something special about circus stink and cotton candy and it just woke up now...even though this is at a baseball game. Cotton candy at a baseball game? We don't do that in Chicago. We just have Cracker Jacks and hot dogs that have been sitting in the steamer since the beginning of the season: they usually have bathtub shrivel and are made in typical Chicago style...with mustard only (no ketchup! EVER!) But anyway, I'm rambling again. I must say though, I love watching how this stuff is made...spun sugar! I wish I'd invented that! This is a marvelous shot. Quite a fun shot too!
