My mother or rather now my nephew, who bought her house, has a beautiful old Larch tree. Took some shots from it today. Hope you like this. -= FULL SIZE best result =-

We have had a really beautiful weather today, but it is not very warm. Only 17C = 62.6F.

I really like the crisp detail and the warm, living green color! I agree that the details are really what make this shot and you captured them so perfectly. The light is fantastic too. I also rather like the soft-focus background with that tiny little spot of diffuse sky-blue (like a reflection of the sky in a window or on a piece of glass?) It's a nice splash of different color, but it's very subtle and doesn't compete with the rest of this perfect image. I like this a lot, and it is another reminder that it's the small things that make the biggest impact.

I love this! The composition, detail, light, and color are superb! There is such simplicity and grace to this. When I look at it I get the same feeling of restful beauty entering my soul that I do when I look at the simple, graceful lines of Japanese paintings. Gorgeous!
