(Adapted from a Victorian song) Somehow I think the Government will decide to abandon their robotag idea. It's not just the bots who are against it - bot owners are objecting to the fact that these new tags will cost money and, like car road tax discs, will need to be renewed every year - at a price. Rumours of a Test Certificate for all bots over ten years old are also rife. The Government, of course, points to the fact that the economic problems of the early years of the twenty-first century force them to find new ways of raising money from the general public since, of course, no-one could possibly make the bamkers who caused the problem actually pay anything towards the damage ... Many robots do not have too high an opinion of human intelligence, expecially that of any political group of the governing classes.
