It does look a bit like parts of the Masai Mara in Kenya. I was going to say the only thing missing are the Acacia trees but just found out that these African trees were reclassified in 2005 as Senegalia. This is a fantastic image. Great use of space.

Awww - thank you my dear friend for this wonderful gift! It really does look like it could be in Africa - maybe the Kalahari desert after some rain. The tree of course makes it for me - I love tree skeletons! You are the best!!! I'm sick in bed and this will certainly cheer me up and motivate me to get better much quicker! Lief jou baie! Druk en soen! xoxoxo

don't understand what is written ...OK, can guess. so i look only at the picture, like the composition and the evening light probably i would have not cut the tree branshes.... an even it was there i would have stamped out the man made pole (?) away (is there a railway/street?)...and the fencepoles too.... and made a natural picture out of it. OK thats maybe only me ;-)

What a perfect shot and dedication to a marvelous lady all the way over on that side of the world: where the sky looks different and where very strange animals do all of the wacky, wonderful things that strange animals do. (Speaking of which, I've just been introduced to the "go away bird" which is an actual bird that has a distinctive call that (to the creative imagination) sounds quite frighteningly like a bird saying, "go away." And take a wild guess as to where they live!) Anyway, after rambling, I have to say that this is an amazing shot and it looks...well...it looks like Namibia with some non-Namibia bits thrown in just to keep things interesting. Needless to say, I absolutely love this shot for all of its rugged, untamed, nicely undomesticated beauty. Marvelous. Have you noticed that Afrikaans is phonetically similar to Vulcan, and by extension, Romulan, though they've diverged radically?
