Some of you know me as 3D newbie chemicalX here, but I decided to focus my gallery on my new passion in life - photography. I've been dabbling around in photography for a few years now and I've fallen head over heels in love with it. My partner, Shane, got me a Canon EOS 20D for my birthday and started me on a path of obsession! A path that I would like to share through this gallery. The chemicalX gallery will stay up to showcase my 3D stuff and if I do ever get back into it, I'll upload those things there, so keep an eye on that too. I appreciate any feedback I get, so if you have any comments or critique (be it good or bad - as long as it's done in a "civilised" way), please do tell me - it's the only way that I'm going to get better at this. Also, eventhough I don't say thank you to everyone on an individual basis, I do appreciate all the feedback and comments you guys give me. Unfortunately 'rosity makes it quite a mission to say "thanks" to a comment. So just because I don't thank everyone individually, doesn't mean that I am not grateful for all the feedback. Thank you to all of you. If you would like to see more of my stuff, you can check out my gallery on dA. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my gallery. Take care, Yak

I like this one a lot! It's moody as all get-out, and kinda sexy in that photo of a guy sort of way. I really like your use of muted color, as it seems to highlight the light/dark contrasts a lot more, and in the case of models like this one, it really makes the planes of his face/body pop out. I saw this before, but didn't get to comment until now, and there was something that drew me in to the photo, but I couldn't figure out what it was until looking at it as I returned to my laptop from another room...the "v" line of his shirt and the overall implied "A" shape of his hair makes an interesting, quasi-oval shape that draws so much attention to his face. I think it's because he has broad features, but a long face, and it kinda plays well with the elongated look of his shirt and so it keeps the eye really focused on that kinda vertical oval shape centered on face/hair/neck/upper chest. I like that. It's like a picture within a picture.
