Some of you know me as 3D newbie chemicalX here, but I decided to focus my gallery on my new passion in life - photography. I've been dabbling around in photography for a few years now and I've fallen head over heels in love with it. My partner, Shane, got me a Canon EOS 20D for my birthday and started me on a path of obsession! A path that I would like to share through this gallery. The chemicalX gallery will stay up to showcase my 3D stuff and if I do ever get back into it, I'll upload those things there, so keep an eye on that too. I appreciate any feedback I get, so if you have any comments or critique (be it good or bad - as long as it's done in a "civilised" way), please do tell me - it's the only way that I'm going to get better at this. Also, eventhough I don't say thank you to everyone on an individual basis, I do appreciate all the feedback and comments you guys give me. Unfortunately 'rosity makes it quite a mission to say "thanks" to a comment. So just because I don't thank everyone individually, doesn't mean that I am not grateful for all the feedback. Thank you to all of you. If you would like to see more of my stuff, you can check out my gallery on dA. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy my gallery. Take care, Yak

Oooh! I really like this one a lot. Her static pose reminds me of something I heard Jane Badler talking about, while being interviewed for her role in the remake of the classic sci-fi series "V." In the original, she was the baddie. In the remake, she's playing the baddie's mother! Anyway, she said that the most challenging part of her new role was playing someone emotionless...all of her acting, therefore, depended on her eyes. I thought of that when I saw this, because there's such a profound draw to the model's whole face, but it's her eyes that seem to express the absolute most! That's amazing, since it's a photograph, and--therefore--static. Great contrasts and a nice, diminutive touch of red. Really nice.

This shot works. I like the way she is holding her finger. Her expression is what makes this work. I would suggest, however, that instead of cropping the top of her hat, you leave the entire hat in the shot. Good work!
