Description
Back to the land of the Fey and Gryffyn and Fionna - the Druid and the Healer of the Court of Fey. Several years ago, I painted a picture (with real paint and canvas) of Manannan Mac Llyr and Aine. MML is the god of the Sea and Aine is the Moon, in Celtic myth. Gryffyn ap Llyr and Fionna (whose name means 'fair' or 'white')sort of developed out of these two mythic entities and were in fact responsible for the Fey series in the first place.
The original picture of MML and Aine was inspired by a song done by a little Irish band with the unlikely name of Horslips on their album 'Book of Invasions'. Well, a couple of songs on there: 'Sword of Light' and 'King of Morning, Queen of Day'. The album is about the Tuatha de Danaan, so if you like faeries and Irish music, I recommend it!

Book of Invasions from an Irish band in reference the Tuatha de Danaan - I like that. I did a series on this Invasion; it is still in my gallery, they are all titled Scota. I like the intensity of his gaze and the reaching out. Blue moon, blue sea. Unity of characters. Sorry, the sun is in my eyes as I write and I must close off.
