...sea water color resulting from a mix of sky and underwater reflected light.
...around basalt outcroppings offshore in Oregon.
...for scale...notice the two little white specks on top of the rock? These are very large gulls.

I can feel the stiff breeze, hear the crashing of the waves and the cry of an occasional sea gull. And, what most don't realize, the central rock is even visible under the surface a good ways! That's not only shadow! I think I'll forego swimming this time. Such a beautiful photo. Ever think of going professional, or selling? Thanks for comment on my "steam" shovel "Mom"! She was at it with her little ones today, too! :-)

OMG, shades of Wuthering Heights in this awesome acrophobic capture, Bill. I see the tiny gulls, but where is Heathcliff? That said, terrific contrast of the crashing waves and froth against the dark ocean and awesome rocks.
