Description
Yes, I am late. No, this is not a dream. This is a summer solstice image dedicated to all my Pagan and Wiccan friends, and of course to the Earth Mother.
Some say that the stone henge at Glastonbury is the most sacred Pagan site in this world. Others say no, it is just the most famous. Scientists cannot tell us who built it, or how they built it with only stone-age tools, or why they went to all that trouble. We're not even sure how old it is. The best guess is around 5000 years. Yet even now, after all that time, thousands gather there every year to pay their respects to the sun and to the earth at midsummer and midwinter. What other place on earth can make that claim?
So whatever god or goddess you honor, take a moment at this time of year to think of the Earth, from which all life springs, is nourished, and to which our lifeless bodies return. Midsummer was her moment of greatest glory. Now she begins to fade in her long, slow march to winter.
Please take a moment to look at the full-size image, and as always feel free to comment. Your feedback is always welcome.

I'm very impressed you did this in VUE. I thought it was a photo until I read a little closer. Lovely dedication to the holy-day as well, Robert!
