Description

Ah...... Don't you just love the aroma of that first cuppa coffee in the morning? Mmmmm..... We know from past experience that Faeries just love a bit of wine, or even beer, but the little ladies seem to revel in a fresh cup of java as well! Molly here, is definitely enjoying the perfume from my morning elixir. I'm kind of a 'coffee snob' (LOL) – I buy whole beans, and grind them in small batches, and I'm always searching out sources for not-the-usual grocery store stuff. There's a great little shop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas that has some of the best coffee I've ever tasted. The Blueberry Crumb-Cake is absolutely to die for! I did a whole bunch of screen captures while creating this image, and will be posting it as the first of 3 tutorials I'm planning on blending 3D renders with photos / backgrounds. The first one will be blending with soft interior lighting (this image). Number two will be blending with a woodland scene with dappled sunlight, and number three will be an outdoor scene at night with multiple light sources. I have to say at this point, I can't believe I'm actually writing tutorials – I still consider myself a beginner with all this 3D stuff. I've been using Poser for just under two years, and every time I open it up, I'm reminded of just how much there is to learn. But the compliments, support and generosity I've received from my friends here at Rendo has been amazing and overwhelming. So if I can help someone by passing along the things I've learned, I'm honored to do so. You all just ROCK! Thanks so much for all your views, comments and support!

Ok, so I look at this and I think that is pretty darn good posing. I mean you got her hands right on the rim. So you coulda used a poser primitive to get the allignment right, that's what I woulda done, but still ....to get it just right for the real cup. You got the lights just about spot on in both intensity and direction, looking at the printer and cup. Overall you have created a charming scene.

LOMAO!!! This is GREAT Rod!!!! I get up so early that it seems the faeries in my area are still sleeping off the wine, beer, whiskey or what ever their preference is, and so don't seem to bother my coffee, LOL! The posing in this is SUPERB! You go the hands PERFECT! SUPERB image! Awesome post-work buddy! The facial expression is AMAZING! LOVE your Coffee Faerie!! VERY CUTE!!

Hey Rod! As Mike said, he gets up so early that he doesn't see the faeries, but...he recently got a Keurig coffee maker so I think the girls may be hovering around the brew in his mug...I don't care for hot coffee, but love iced coffee, to maybe I'll see one of the coffee faeries on the rim of my iced coffee! I'm thinking that a faerie that partakes of and enjoys coffee must buzz around like a bumble bee! Perhaps I need to take a closer look at the bumble bees on the flowers around the house...perhaps I shall really see that they are nothing more than faeries who have partaken of your mug of coffee. Now, if those 'bumble bees' are flying in an erratic pattern, then I shall know that they are actually martini faeries posing as coffee faeries!!!! Nice job!!!!

Nicely done! The shadows under her fingers are perfect. Excellent blending of two separate mediums! I don't know who would be a better choice to write the tutorials for this ... your work is outstanding!

A beautifully crafted image and your little faery fits into this scene so well. I look forward to seeing your tutorials as I have a hard job getting my scenes into Poser to get the shading right.
