I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

Love this, Rod.. so good on so many levels. You are a real master at making a character fit perfectly into a photographic background so it looks created together. The character is really a nice morph, looks elegant and not a girl anymore, but still fresh and pretty! Gorgeous posing and light! Truly a treat for the eyes, my friend! :)

Had no idea this was not a complete render until I read your words. Great job on creating your own lady for this work. Elegant looking velvet dress. Great lighting for sure, the rim lighting around her from the enclosure and the shadow on the ground for overheads.

It's fun to watch you experiment and figure out new stuff ... nicely done! Your background photograph is superb. Even without the girl, that's a great scene!

She looks like she's in her early 40's, but maybe (like me) she had a harder paper round as a lass! (it's all relative after all). Nice compositing HotRod, I shoot photo's with the same idea's in mind too, then lose them all when I re-format my HDD - DOH!

Excellant job. So hard to get a character into a background w/o it looking like its floating. I always have to add a ground prop. Looking forward to your tutorial on the character pose into background..Very much needed.

Excellent work.

You are the master of merging poser characters into real photos. A tut is a great idea and nice of you to take the time to do that to share with others. You put a smile on my face, digging through the recycling dumpster, lol. I can see it now, butt in the air, face down in the dumpster. I still picture you with the boobs though, they really must get in the way when dumpster diving. lol Great image, love the lighting.

Really a great looking scene here Chris, and I love this adorable character you created. Glad your DSL is working and hope they get your phone up and going.

LOL @ boobunny - that was Rene that had the boobs! LOLOL! Thought I'd better clear that one up! :-D

So, you can morph this tall lady? Can you send her over to morph my MiG-17 speed brakes into the off position? There is so much YOU can do in Poser...it boggles the photography-only guy's mind:) Nicely done my friend.

Fine work, Rod - the shadows and surroundings to the photo manipultiaon is great! To put 3d characters into a photo is great fun! I use an old program named "Ulead Image Editor" which have some unique functions to do so! It has something called an "object pool" where you can "clip" and put a lot of parts of images into. If you use the same image size your "pool-clips" will always end up exatly the same place in the image! The most funny - it dates back to 1996!! :o)

I like this Rod. Your lady looks kinda familiar for some reason. Definitely does look to be in the thirties somewhere. I think you did a great job with the matching of the lighting in the render to the lighting in the photo. Excellent job with the posing too! Nice work Rod. Hope you get your phone back.

Fabulous work. She blends in expertly. The lighting really makes this. The render and photo light blend beautifully. Nice to include a woman of a certain age.

A beautiful image and that looks a great bg you have captured too. You have posed her beautifully. I too grab those magazines for the poses, I find them a great help. Excellent work with the lighting.
