Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Outstanding action shot. I especially like the body language of the pitcher. He's probably thinking, "Well, there goes my pay raise." The Angels won so maybe he was ok after all.

Just like everyone in the stands the pitcher is watching and probably saying to himself "Oh crap" Nice shot.

I zoomed and nobody is watching the runners. Even all the fans are watching the ball. Super shot Marilyn. Dana

I zoomed and although this is not my favorite game( sport in general) so far today it's my favorite photo shot wow :

What a shot! I love the synchronized stare and I can just about hear the crowd. I'm not big on sports, but it's a heck of a lot of fun to actually watch the fans, listen in on their conversations, and if you're at Wrigley Field during a late season game, it's really an experience to eat a hot dog that's probably been sitting in hot water since the season's open. Well, maybe not...but still, Wrigley Field hotdogs are an experience in and of themselves. And I suspect that this comment only has a tiny bit to do with this photo, but then that's how my mind works. I really love the intense reds and the cool blues (in shorter supply it would seem.) I'll bet you had fun; it shows and so this is a fun shot to look at. The pitcher looks like he's just saying: "Oh, frak!"
