Description
This is the actual vision I had for the EVE On-line 'Design a Starship' Contest. Ran out of time before I could complete it until now.
I always saw it with a clear dome on top and several pools, a small lake for sailboats, an Amusement Park, and an open air shopping mall.
Actually ran into I3D point limit issues when I went to add people in the walkway between the transfer station and the ship--there are more points associated with the bodies than the entire ship (bump maps are your friend).
Other than the people, the rest is created in Inspire 3D Modeler. Background is Flaming Pear's Glitterato and LunarCell plugins for Paint Shop Pro.

love the look :) though as a EvE player myself I would expect a Caldari Ship to be a bit more angular and squared off...now as a Gallente design you would be spot on. this of course is just my opinion and in no way is meant to be a criticism of your work. I couldn't model anything close to that to save my soul LOL. Thank you for Sharing this.

Actually, you are correct. My exposure has been through the books--haven't had time to look into the game proper. Plus it was a rush job to get it submitted under the wire--I even spelled Caldari wrong at submission and didn't catch it (sigh). I'd point to the "Caldari Kerberos Class Strike Carriers" a couple of images back since they fit the more angular ship designs for the Caldari.

Very cool POV and the station and ship looks great! Maybe a little more dynamic lighting on the station and docked ship would really make these elements more balanced with the planet. Over all a very good composition. Cheers, David

Yep; definitely need to fiddle with the dynamics. Thanks

Great POV on this image. I love the concept of a star liner with lots of open spaces inside.
