Description

... but no Golden Needles ! but the smallest Spiders web I have seen in a long time and the late afternoon sun made it visible - virtually only for a couple of minutes. How lucky was that ? *** BTW the original song was made popular by several females - you may know one or two ? am I showing my age ? hmmm ... e.g. Linda Ronstadt ~ Dusty Springfield ~ Janis Joplin ~ Dolly Parton and Wanda Jackson! Wanda ? say Wanda WHO ? - never heard of her before - but Google told me so ... LOL Cheers *BB* aka Brigitte BTW - no postwork! - just the framing!

Suddenly an impressive sheen of woven wire, silver in color with light shades and I almost smell the scent outside how it smells in Australia. A beautiful presentation, dear Sis., with the warm red background. And 'Yes', I remember a few names, only the song, guess, I do not (anymore?). Just, sing it for me, please :D

Awesome render you have captured those threads in a unique and creative way. Those ladies belt out some awsome tunes. You brought a blast of the past. Those good old days have gone by way tooo fast. Great job.

Silver threads and golden needles cannot mend this heart of mine. And I dare not drown my sorrows in the warm glow of your wine. You can't buy my love with money for I never was that kind. Silver threads and golden needles cannot mend this heart of mine. (I still have Linda's recording) ser·en·dip·i·ty (from the Sanskrit) - an aptitude for making desirable discoveries by accident. Yeah, I'd say this qualifies. A magnificent image, Brigitte! Such fantastic detail which becomes even more awesome when zoomed.

A photograph of phenomenal proportions in this most fortuitous capture, Brigette! Kind of looks like a spinning phonograph record. Imagine the work that goes into that labor of love, or genetics. And, the title made me immediately think of the Xmas song, Silver Bells. Never heard of the Linda Ronstadt one, though.

It is always amazing what nature can can produce and it is amazing what we can find if we only look. Excellent shot and a great song

How beautiful this perfect web looks in the sunlight. It is a superb capture, and the song brings back a lot of memories. What a marvellous find. Christchurch is still rocking and rolling so not sure what the outcome is going to be, whether it blows up or settles down, the latter we hope.

I think I'd only heard Linda Ronstadt's version (which I have), until I just now found Wanda Jackson's version on youtube with a verse I had never heard before. "I grew up in faded gingham where love is a sacred thing. You grew up in silk and satin where loves a passing game..." Marvelous web and image! You caught it at just the right moment and to captured it so beautifully. Excellent light and detail!
