Description

Wednesday, June 29, 2011, 19:15. The south end of the roof over the underground drive is now being covered with earth. Some 6 manholes have been put in place. I don't know what they are accessing. Drainage pipes? Or tunnel access? About half of the middle section has now been filled with concrete and tarred over (right center of photo). It seems there isn't much left to do as far as the roof is concerned. The next step will be excavating underneath - I can't get any photos of that, not being a worker on the site. But, one never knows what may show up. The huge "pit" in previous posts lies behind the red crane and the red and yellow excavating machines to the left. The concrete in my previous post has now been covered with tar and plastic sheeting. That was fast! Enjoy!

Quite an interesting project. Big heavy construction but all seems to be done with great precision and speed.
