Description

I saw these roses in a depleted garden of a 18th century villa in what once was a building belonging to well-off merchants on the outskirts of Padova, and now is a mixed neighbourhood, partly gentrified and partly still popular. Last week a Moroccan wife was murdered (50 stabbings) by her jealous Moroccan husband in the two-storey building close to the abandoned villa. There was an uproar not because of the murder, since, unfortunately one can read about a new killing of a woman almost every other day in summer in Italy, but because the so-called 'cultural middleperson'from the nearby mosque paid by the Townhall with public money to help immigrants to integrate in Italian society, was a naive fundamentalist that declared in an interview that he was in favor of lapidation. Anyway, we are going on vacation for a week, so delays are possible in our comments. Thanks for your kind comments.

Well done postwork Sandra. I had to look up the word "lapidation". I figured it had something to do with stones, but I thought more in terms of jewelry...wow was I wrong! Well, here's my theory - it takes two to tango and since men are physically stronger than women, they can force us to tango even if we don't desire to do so...perhaps instead of stoning women, society should castrate men. After all, gelded horses are easier to control than stallions aren't they?

A wonderful capture. The beauty of the roses contrasts sharply with the horror of your story. We seem to be losing ground to barbarism every day.

Lovely image in contrast to an horrific story. Humankind´s civility as mostly extremely shallow !What a blessing is to be among fellow artlovers here at Rendo !

yep we have to play by "their"rules and they dont respect ours and thats not correct. i was all my life open to religion, politics or skincolor it makes no difference to me as long as you respect me the way i do respect you. but these s..theads have no respect for no one.sorry but i had to say s..theads!!!!!!!! ps here in spain the brainless "machos"also kill regularly their wives and partners giving a good example to their kids wich in a few years will kill as well.
