Description
I saw these roses in a depleted garden of a 18th century villa in what once was a building belonging to well-off merchants on the outskirts of Padova, and now is a mixed neighbourhood, partly gentrified and partly still popular. Last week a Moroccan wife was murdered (50 stabbings) by her jealous Moroccan husband in the two-storey building close to the abandoned villa. There was an uproar not because of the murder, since, unfortunately one can read about a new killing of a woman almost every other day in summer in Italy, but because the so-called 'cultural middleperson'from the nearby mosque paid by the Townhall with public money to help immigrants to integrate in Italian society, was a naive fundamentalist that declared in an interview that he was in favor of lapidation.
Anyway, we are going on vacation for a week, so delays are possible in our comments.
Thanks for your kind comments.

Lovely Capture and Work

I like what the prime minister of Australia said on the subject, but I will not repeat it.never the less a beautiful rose. something that has always bothered me here is when a young beautiful lady looses her life to an unnatural death, people tend to say"and she was so beautiful, isn't it a shame". as if the deceased is not attractive then it means less. just like a bad joke.one man had said that he wanted an ugly woman to be his girlfriend.his friend asked why.well, if she leaves me then I will not miss her!

Great capture - and your story gives the red rose another meaning. I, my self grew up with a very open and welcoming mind but I must confess that some crazy people covering behind what they call religion have no sympathy at all. The worst thing maybe is that these people are utterly brain washed with hatred and act very self destructive and destructive. You can't get into a dialogue with these which acts like the followers of "isms" in the twenty century...Sad...
