Hawks have such keen senses!! Smart birds. He probably sees under there quite well and wishes they would come closer to the edge. Patience is a virture..

what a great capture of the hawk in this funny pose :) guess there are baby hawks that need some food...we have a hawk in our neighborhood--certainly keeps the pigeon population down. happy 4th to you too!
