Description

Delmaria; orbiting a nearby gas giant, this rather large moon has an earth-like environment which attracts stellar pioneers who enjoy a slightly different form of transportation across the canyonized central continent. The terrain and sky are from Terragen Classic. Bryce 6.3 produced the ringed planet and the pilots are Poser 4 males. The Parajets are my own model from 3D Studio Max 6. Everything is put together in Photoshop CS3, with additional clouds from my own stock. The Parajets were rendered with BK's jet flames in Vue Pro Studio 7.4; a free 3D shadow plugin was used, as well as Flaming Pear Glare. World Machine created the terrain. Paul, what you have been doing as of late is so impressive ...this work especially. The terrain is super creating a very good perspective. And, the models are made for the scene ...wish I knew how to do that. I'll bet both Marks will love this one.

@choronr- the parajet models were created precisely for this scene; it's been on hold till I could work the model out!

I like how there is a little scientific background to the scene, a little bit of story to add to the visual- gorgeous render as well- awesome work Paul!

Matte-painting in your future? This is some wonderful stuff! Terrific integration of elements, fine composition overall. So, what are the real components (if any), and what's rendered?
