Description

This was tricky--at the bottom of Yosemite Falls it was SO wet, just finding a place to set my camera wasn't easy. Found one that was sheltered from most of the water--but it was still so wet and misty, I looked like I was almost underwater!!

Self portraits are always fun, and I actually do so few of them. I love the dream-fuzz in this one: that soft focus that Hollywood made popular in the days when glamor-enhancement had something to do with putting vaseline on a camera lens before shooting the leading lady. I like this version better because it doesn't look schmultzy and it gives a real impression of how damp/wet it must be. I love rocks and the mist. They're such a perfect contrast to each other.

Ha what a classic! I hope you had a waterproof camera! I never have the patience to do self portraits but I really must try and do more. This a fun shot.

Super stellar POV and mist effects in this shot of you standing in your ubiquitous flip-flops, definitely unfearful, amidst the powerful forces of nature, Marilyn.

Just so good, Marilyn! amazingly clever of you, and it sure softens any lines that you might have (although you are too young for that!)

And just look at all the money you saved on a bokeh filter! LOL! I can totally see (and almost feel) how damp it was there. Great shot!

Outstanding effort! The mist gives the image a soft and somewhat mysterious feel. You didn't run into any of the witches, did you?
