Description
I have previously mentioned how amazing the Balinese are in stone carving, metalwork and woodcarving. They are equally talented painters. The image below shows Barong in the center with the evil Rangda looking on from the top right of the painting. What is noteworthy about this picture is that the entire painted area measures 2.6in x 3.3in (6.7cm x 8.6cm). Like I said, amazing.

I was amazed by this before I estimated the size with with my fingers. Then I was in total wonder and admiration. Superb painting and pretty wonderful capture too. They do seem to be having a blast, except for the guy on the right, who appears to be wondering what sort of party he stumbled into. "Mama told me not to come!" I like the guy on the far left and the gray guy at the top. Is that another creature peeking over the head of the gray guy? This is wild, and beautiful and VERY amazing!
