Description

Thanks Kim (Kbrog) for the ID. Not happy with the plain background but I liked some of the colors on the butterfly. S/he was sunning on a cement platform. Zoom works but with the loss of some detail. Thanks for stopping by my gallery, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

That would be a "White Admiral" (Limenitis arthemis arthemis) Found it in the book. :) Excellent find and capture!

I have seen the Red Admiral before,but this is the first time I have seen this one.They have very similar markings.Fine photograph.Thanks for letting us see this specimen.
