Description

Hello friends, another pic from Chateau Mellenthin, here from the frontside and the big yard, In the middle the main house with three floors with fine renaissance ceilings. The main house have two wings, the right wing here were the stable building for horses and coaches, and the left wing have a great ballroom for special events. Seen from outside the building complex is not in a very fine condition, the last renovations were done before WWII, but inside the chateau is completely restored in traditional style as a chateau should be. Places like this create a very special flair: They are something between the communistic area and the high level of Western Germany, and many people - this includes my wife and me - love this special atmosphere.
