The Chronicles of Inthandonia: The Wizard Wars. Fresh air. The strange material of the ships hull which for so long had kept me out was now no impediment to my enhanced physical, mental and magickal abilities. A tiny twitch of thought rapidly amplified the local entopic processes causing the hull to simply erode and decay before me. Powered and protected by my dermal membrane and the flowing effortless power of the exoskeleton I quickly made my way to shore and moved into the surrounding forest even as an army of terrier sized repair bots swarmed around me with their adamantine pincers and flickering laser cutters. A scream of ducted fans above me announced the arrival of two large copter-bots, laden with hundreds of repair bots, all built to the same eight-legged insect-like template that drove the construction of many Skrell robots in many different sizes. A wave of my hand induced a terminal breakdown in the nearest rotor-bot and it burst into flame amidships and careened to crash blazing in the Crater Lake. The second rotor-bot veered away and I soon destroyed or disabled the other small bots besieging me. As I escaped into the surrounding mountain forests with my augmented heart pounding sturdily in my chest my enhanced nasal receptors detected a wonderful and invigorating scent in the cool air – it was the fresh and heady aroma of freedom!
