Description
So now, after a short interval, back to the glitz and glamour of a classic auto show.
Captured 5/16/10, around noon, at the beautiful 16th Annual Muckenthaler Motor Car Festival, held at the beautiful Muckenthaler Cultural Center in beautiful Fullerton, California.
Extremely better viewed via ZOOM.
I think this is a real beauty, all prettily gussied up with a cherry paint job, flags, shiny chrome and glass. Judging from Google, this particular car has been photographed many times. For additional information please go to the first collage.
This is the last of a two part collage on this labor of love, the first posted on 7/5/11. Obviously different POVs on this one. I have more photos of this lovely lady, but for practical purposes this should just about do it.
Avtio, thankx for dropping by, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

A real beauty, I see why they call it a trunk in these here United States! I'd love to have that shiny red article. And why on earth do they call it a boot in the UK? Fantastic collage, as always, Harry!

Wow, Harry...think I've missed your first collage on this mighty Buick. Five outstanding images...but I've always said, cars inspire your very best work. Sharp, clear, crisp photos my friend!

I know I should be doing more of your recent stuff (like today's!) but when I've been gone long, I remember pics from all the way back, and now that I have a chance to comment on at least some of them, I want to. It's no reflection on your latest, and I hope to get back to them as well. But I remember this because of the extremely abstract & beautiful closeups you did in the middle of the montage, sandwiched by your usual crystal-like front & back shots. The top & bottom show the whole car, and the bottom one shows that amazing bright red chest on the rear (with all that gorgeous red trim behind & to the left of it). I assume you became wholly comfortable with long-shots a long while ago, as you seem to do them without any effort. (Note that "seem" doesn't mean "does," as I know the best photographers can spend real time lining up the most 'effortless' shots. But they feel effortless regardless.) Then the detail shots are stunning: You have some kind of gentle glare or softening in the headlight shot which makes the lights seem nearly dreamy; it's luscious. The engine shot, with its gentle flare, is like a modern art sculpture & is beautiful. And that angled wheel shot? A knockout! It's a great side-shot of a wheel & all that's around it; and by angling it you've given it a whole new life. Just terrific, Harry. I don't usually pick fav's in your montages, but this one has me coming back again & again, because as an abstract artist, it just sings to me. And then the finale with all that stunning red. A stunning collage, more of your "journey" through a single object/event, and another collection that makes us grateful you're out there capturing these gems for us. Beautiful work all around.
