Description

This is the same place as yesterdays post. I just wanted to show some of the details on the William Wallace Monument. That is Wallace himself holding his famous claymore two-handed broadsword and yes I realize that he is holding it in one hand. The sword on display inside was 5 feet 6 inches (1.68 meters) long. The monument was built in 1869 and this photo was taken May 1995 and then scanned. The seal over the door is not the Great Seal of Scotland so I assume that is the Wallace seal or crest. Zoom will not help. Thanks for stopping by my gallery, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana
