Description

Wednesday, 2011-07-13, 17:25/5:25 PM Feeding time for the "dinosaurs"! Munch, crunch! This reminds me SO much of Fred Flintstone and his work at the quarry with the rock munching (did it actually swallow all that rock? It must have had quite some constipation problem) brontosaurus! Here are 5 steam shovels cooperating in digging out for more foundation work. The white one to the left is preparing the concrete wall with the same type of rotary toothed blades as used to cut rectangular holes in my early photos. The two red ones are piling up rubble for the white and yellow ones to fill the waiting trucks with. The trucks then truck the rubble away. In the foreground it looks like "the bowels of the earth" have been excavated. I don't know what they are or where they come from. It lets the imagination roam wild! Enjoy! :)
