Description

After yesterdays upload this is Angle Tarn from a different view taken as we continued the walk. It was very quiet whilst we were here then about 12 or more people appeared and they were doing what is known as the coast to coast walk, a 70 mile walk from the west coast to the East coast. The walk was the idea of the great Alfred Wainwright. Then they had gone and it was just us again. All this space and not a soul to be seen or heard....pretty wonderful. The mountains in the distance are the Helvellyn Range, Helvellyn being the third highest mountain in England at 3117 feet....I refuse to do metres.,...so un-English

Another gorgeous shot! I love the solitude when I'm out like this and I think it would have been wonderful to sit back and try to take this all in and just... breath! (btw, I appreciate the use of feet :) )

an incredible panorama with the tarn as a centerpiece. great radial composition. the darkening at the edges forces it more than it needs, to my eyes, but it still works very well.
