Description

Vue8Frontier/DazStudio3.1/Photoshop/Photoscape3.5 Finally, the tracker caught a break in his search for the escaped fugitives...a fire from last night, still smouldering. They were close,no more than two hours...three tops! His hunch had paid off! When everyone else had said they would never dare cross the arid desertlands,he had argued that they had nothing to lose...risk capture and subsequent death for their crimes,or die trying to escape into the wastelands. He smiled to himself as he kicked dirt over the dying embers.Time to prove them all wrong! This image began as an exploration into the Material Editor, learning how to mix materials, add bump maps, change procedurals and create a custom material.Figure is Michael3 base and morphs, with a Men Of The Year skin mat and an outfit combining Lone Wolf,Scout,Shadowdancer and Hard Core clothing. The Vehicle is the Sting-Ray(all from Daz3D and imported from DazStudio).Terrain texture is my own fiddling around, rocks are a preset material. The firepit is part of Dazs' Native American Village, with the wood mat changed to a modified Vue scorched rock and lava material to simulate burnt wood and embers.Global Radiosity used on a custom sky, with volumetric light added.Postwork in Photoshop involved some cloning of geometry issues on the arm of the figure, addition of a smoke photo(CGTextures) overlaid over the firepit, signature and resizing. In Photoscape the frame was added. Thanks for taking the time to view, and for any comments!

Pov and lightning are good. I think the hard light makes a lot for the character.
