Description

A Canary Island Lizard (Gallotia galloti galloti) with the cauldron of the volcano Teide. The volcano and its surroundings comprise the Teide National Park (Parque Nacional del Teide in Spanish). I dedicate this image to Ute, Renè and all the other friends who sometimes feel the environment in RR a bit arid. Yet, this place is much friendlier than it may appear at first. BTW, I disabled the rating because I'm too snobbish to put up with a charting system... ;D Thank you for your kind comments.

I think RR a friendly place at least in the few galleries that I view. But your pic makes me wonder what that lizard finds to eat! Arid indeed.

Great capture of this lizard and the barrenness of this place does make one wonder what it lives on. Lovely dedi for two of rendos best..

I never would have noticed the lizard if you hadn't' have pointed it out! WOW. I find Rendo to be a very friendly place. There are always a few exceptions, but that's life. I've been a member here for a long time now, and guess what, I've never used the rating system. I have no interest and wouldn't even know where it is!

the lizard is a stunning detail, excellent shot.... yes this is a friendly place ( compare it to other communities...) and I was really surprised about the problems... I hope you have a great sunday Ralf

I couldn't even find the lizard, until I zoomed in - he blends in very well - must be a good camouflage ... BB *** ... and in regards to the ratings systems - well, I don't turn it on either !!! I wish they would totally do away with it and just have a panel of judges, the system is flawed and gets abused by a few, who blatantly surf the galleries, just suck for comments/ratings, by leaving mindless comments - why bother at all? it doesn't make you a good artist - just a good surfer ! LOL
