Description

For some reason this image looked like some sort of psychedelic shield. The source image is a Mandelbrot set fractal rendered in 3D with FractalWorks. FractalWorks is high performance fractal renderer for Macintosh computers. You can purchase FractalWorks in the Mac App Store I turned the fractal into a kaleidoscope using ScopeWorks, another of my company's products. ScopeWorks is also available in the Mac App Store.
