Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Idyllic, then...you got me googling Yosemite +death...what a place to throw caution to the wind.

It really is very beautiful. Wonderful capture. I saw it with snow on the ground. People ignore warning signs, climb over a chest high railing and go wading in a pool feet from a raging waterfall and others have the nerve to call it an 'accident'.

Marvelous! The rock face drew my attention the most when I zoomed and then the stand of trees stole it...I love the way those two parts of this photo really play on each other like that: texture-wise and in terms of color. This is really well seen and so much fun to look at! I'd love to visit there myself, see those trees for myself...and maybe smell them. I love the smell of Nature! This is a gorgeous shot!
