Description
I do have a thing for bass players; they're just the heartbeat of a band (though I'm sure some would argue that the drummer plays that role). The fair's in town in Orange County, California and I went Thursday night. They have cover bands for a lot of big name groups; that night it was Motley Crue and Van Halen. I'm not a big fan of either, but it was still fun. This is a collage of the bass player for the Atomic Punks--the Van Halen cover band.

I've been to a couple of Police shows over the years and loved Sting's bass playing. Then there was Mike Anthony X Van Halen with his 'JD bottle bass'! Great post.

Just got myself up-to-date on the difference between cover and tribute bands. This is very cool...particularly like the upper right blurred image! We have three bands here next Saturday night...will keep my eye on the bass players for you;-)
