Description

Here's a bit of Americana for you today: a classic roadside attraction! This is on Highway 101, south of Gold Beach, Oregon.

We have a dry-dock boat that has been turned into a pub in the nearby city of Leeds - doesnt look as good as this though! Excellent capture Tara!

That's pretty cool, Tara! Great find! This reminds me of the scene in Close Encounters of The Third Kind where they found a cargo ship sitting in the middle of the desert. You find the neatest stuff!

Oooh, I love this. The idea that a boat can be a gift shop is amazing...I have to say though, that the Czech Republic isn't too far behind us. There's an airplane (some kind of decommissioned military plane I can't remember the make of) that has been landed in a field and turned into a bar. It's not a roadside attraction, but it DOES attract people to the town. Anyway, that's a ramble, but this shot made me think of that! I love it, by the way. This is the kind of stuff that makes you pull over and shop for gifts!
