Description
Captured 5/26/11, on my first visit to the beautiful Aquarium of the Pacific in beautiful Long Beach, California.
A ZOOM would be to your distinct advantage.
A pair of Foxface Rabbitfish (Siganus vulpinus) soar blithely past the many gorgeous life forms in this image, including that esoteric green treelike meshed growth, which I assume is coral. Andrea probably knows its identity.
Taken with my Pentax K110D SLR camera, and lucky it came out this good considering the dim lighting and movement of the fish. Extensive postwork followed my Lagoon and Reef fotos. Unfortunately, that didn't save the 35% or so of pics that I had to trash because of annoying blur and noise.
Toodles, thankx for the visit, and for any and all favs and complimentary comments.

I'm surprised Andrea didn't identify that green fan shaped coral. I tried researching it and came up with nothing substantial.

A super capture of this underwater scene. That little coral is very pretty isn't it and the fish look great against it.

It's not like any pictures of green corals that I can find on Google, but whatever it is, it's lovely... a beautiful capture, Harry, excellent on zoom!

The muted colors of the coral really show off the vivid colors of the fish.

A beautiful photo Harry,...these are under great stress in the Florida Keys...there are a couple of YouTube videos on the problem. They are common sea fans (Gorgonia ventalina). I learned to Scuba Dive in the Keys in 1956-58 and even brought home one of these. Today, divers can look but not touch...which is a good thing.

Outstanding photo!

The coral appears to look like a tree silhouette - if it was 'out of the water' - ;-) what a stunning capture Harry and a great pond for fish to play in ... BB
