Description

Somewhere at the Hollow (I suspect it's at the edge of the Hollow's land where there is a rather deep woods that we don't often visit) is this almost greenhouse appearing structure. It's a place the Fae and the Elfin folk nurture and care for orphans and wee wild things that have been hurt. A place that is safe from hunters, and hungry critters. Sometimes even a hunter needs help in recovering from an incident. This one was injured when her home was attacked by one of the Big People. She was found and brought here for healing. The Elfin Caretakers believe that Shibboleth, of the Wolf Hunter Clan, is now strong enough to fend for herself. They are watching her closely, she'll be discharged tomorrow. The "glass" is part of a package, "Precious Pearl Backgrounds", created by Angel aka Savage Dragon. I sometimes use things in ways maybe not intended. I reduced opacity on this one, to give it the appearance of old glass. These are beautiful backgrounds, they have an organic sort of feel to them and an inner glow. Gorgeous. They are waiting to be approved before release. Except I already got them! Woo Hoooo!! Thanks Angel, for giving me these stunning, gorgeous, awesome backgrounds!! The two Elves are by Vampsart, I think found here in free stuff a long time ago. I am slowly working my way around the galleries, and I think I just have to comment on the newest stuff, or I'll never get anywhere. Sigh. I hate doing that because I miss so much beautiful work in everyone's galleries. Thanks everyone, for stopping to look, and thank you so much for leaving such lovely, treasured, much appreciated comments on the previous post. Thank you for all the faves as well.

PS: behind the glass is a photo .. which isn't part of the Precious Pearl Backgrounds package .. but if you have sort of a greenhouse made of old glass, then you have to have something you can see through the glass.

I just love what you did with the bg here. Very creative! I find it most fun to do the 'out of the ordinary' with most everything I can tweak. Fabulous work, Rita. Thanks so much, hon! Hugz ")

Once again Rita you have brought us the special magic of the Hollow. Exceptionally well done image that literally opens the invisible portal between our world and that of the Gentry. Really enjoy the narrative that accompanies the image. Outstanding in every way!!!!!

A beautiful image with a wonderful glassy finish to it. Your little story goes so well and matches up with the spider so well, as that does look like a huntsman spider though I could be wrong as I never stay around spiders long enough to find out their names.lol. I love the thought of the fae having safe places where they can recover from the big people blundering around. Excellent work.

You're so clever, Rita, it's just a delight to see what you come up with. Yous a gifted girl. It's beautiful and brilliant, both.
