My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

A very impressive effort with superb results. I made a photographic family tree for my grandmother's 90th birthday so I know how much work went into this. Unfortunately I didn't have any letters since my family doesn't write much. Really exceptional work.

What a masterpiece! Isn't interesting how fierce those hairstyles made women look? Probably quite falsely in the main.

How I wish I'd saved letters I got so many years ago. They are such treasures. This is simply wonderful, a treasure of your own!!

Wonderful creation!!

Well done. The effect you've achieved is classic...layer upon layer...like our memories. Overlapping images each having a unique story to tell. Family history...grandparents, great grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles...where they came from, where they moved to, the homes they lived in, everyday happenings in everyday lives. There's an atmosphere here...like I recall when rumaging around through an old trunk in my grandmother's attic. I really like this!

Very lovely, Tara! This would make a great cover for a family album, or geneaology book. Superb work, dear friend!

This is stunning! It reminds me of a book cover--the good kind of book cover, but more than that, it's an excellent collage all on its own. Everything is blended so marvelously and it makes me curious about the people shown here: who were they? How did they live? What did their voices sound like? Things like that. I love the delicate touches, the way there seem to be solid and not-so-solid components of this, all held together with...well...a patina of age. This is stunning.

This is marvelous! I'm going to have to try to remember to show it to my mom the next time I see her. She (and my dad too, before he died) has collected a lot of family history and will be very interested. Beautiful work! Wonderful textures, layers, and composition. The bits of the letter I could read were fascinating.
