UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Great that you have tried a B&W Bill, I always think it does justice to this kind of shot and this is brilliant.

I'm not sure I'd like living in one of them, but they make an intriguing and lovely image; great work, Bill!

Great shot - I remember passing these buildings on the tram that runs between Bellagio and the Monte Carlo and seeing these for the first time - you feel like you're leaning and try to straighten up. They also have some corners that are acute angles rather than the usual right angle - which also makes for some interest perspectives.

Hope its not a domino effect :-) excellent

Veer, all right. I understand why the name. Particularily if flying through downtown Las Vegas! Cool photo, but no flickering windows when scrolling in this image for some strange reason. As for world class veering, check out "Turning Torso" in Malmö, Sweden. It turns some 90 degrees from the base to the top floor - quite unnerving! Check out these links- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turning_Torso and for tons of weird and unnerving photos, check this link- http://www.google.se/search?q=Turning_Torso&hl=sv&biw=1164&bih=804&prmd=ivns&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=RZU5TtK4Ioz5sgauyf3lDw&sqi=2&ved=0CDIQsAQ I still can't believe this thing is for real though I've seen it so many times. Something I think you'd find challenging yet a lot of fun to photograph, Bill! Keep up the good work! More fun photos of this weird Las Vegas building, pretty please! :-)

superlative image!

Crikey and they think people will go into these towers? A super capture of these interesting towers and the detail does show out well in the B&W.

And I'll bet those condos are a real bargain, too! Really cool shot, Bill, and your choice of B&W is perfect! Wonderful play of light and shadow!

Superb Bill. Going with b&w made somehow more interesting. The off-center construction looks unreal!

At first I thought you'd gotten into the skew tool again! LOL! Really fine b&w work. Nicely done!
