Description

Not really a castle, more a stately home in the 19th Century Gothic revival style whose wealthy builder ransacked a lot of French Churches to put together a Romantic fantasy. Apparently his wife got mad when she realised what he had done and wished that the whole thing would fall off the cliff and into the sea. Can't please some people. This is an interior shot in the Chapel with stained glass probably from a Medieval French Church somewhere.

Oh come on ! we'd all do it if we had the money, affraid if it was me I'd have thrown the ungrateful bitch off the cliff :-) That is one hell of a window, beautiful in fact..I suppose on the plus side, if this guy hadn't 'rescued' it, it would probably have been destroyed during WWI or WWII.So perhaps not such an awful sin after all. Great picture.....
