Description

I love romans since my childhood and always watched these monumental "sandals-movies" (surely there's a better word in english, but I don't know the translation...), especially the Centurions and Praetorians :o) Now when I uploaded my other romans-picture yesterday I thought that it would look much better if I'd have made the crown with Carrara-hair instead that strangely modeled crest.... well, I couldn't resist and this is the result. I was going for a classic pose for him and after the rendering couldn't decide if I should put a filter over it that gives the image a canvas-look, but now I think it's better without. It would destroy the face and skin, which I think is actually very detailed this time, although I used the same settings like in my last image (where the skin looked less detailed). Oh my, I'm talking too much. That crest, the whole render, in fact, is outstanding. Love it, and I am fascinated by Ancient Rome, too. I think the sandals movies might be gladiator movies?
