BIO
My love for digital art started about 2001 when I created simple 2D-wallpapers for my Star Wars homepage. I always was annoyed with the picture-material I had, as it never fitted to my needs and I wanted to create more unique images. Searching the net for a program that could solve my problem I found Bryce. Soon I was a member of a Yahoo-group and everybody was talking about Poser..... That was the beginning of my friendship for this wonderful program! Everyday I learn more about this "mysterious" program and I think I'll never learn everything ;o) Hopefully one day I have the chance to build my own digital models, but at the moment I love it to texture models with PhotoImpact. That's it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me! ~Saskia~
Update 2008
Sorry to say that, but I nigh completely abandoned Poser from my workspace, as I've moved on to Carrara, an application I learned to love and that challenges my intention to finally build my own models. I just have to find a way how and where to start learning....

You really need to post more often - lol... Pixeluna did a thing on the 12 dwarfs, you were one of them and we had to guess the names - I knew it was you, but I couldn't for the life of me think of Jedi_Padawan - lol... not the most common name in the world like John Smith or Mike Anderson - lol Image looks super, I read you had troubles with the crash, but sometimes ya take the render it gives ya and be happy with it - I LIKE IT... now post again already - lol how about Capt. Sparrow drunk off his butt and really rock'n out on a GUITAR???
Jedi_Padawan

I'm liking the lighting in this one, sort of surprised that it was such a simple set up. Then again, sometimes the simple solution is the best. I also like how the figures really stand out against the background due to nothing more than them being colorful. The image brings to mind a wraparound book cover (would need a slightly different crop to it, but you know what I mean). Nothing really stands out as an area for improvement, although I do agree with you about the skin textures being a bit less detailed than the rest of the image. Another excellent piece Saskia.

Beautiful image - you did wonderful texturing the Pretorian's outfit and that dress works so well for a classic Roman lady. Love the lighting as well!
