Description

In May, I photographed the caterpillars on the Euonymus. At the moment, a lot of butterflies from these caterpillars(the Ermine moth) are flying around. Here two shots, where the moth is on the Solidago. I have a few more shots of this butterfly, which is very small. From Wikepedia : The family Yponomeutidae are known as the ermine moths, with several hundred species, most of them in the tropics. The larvae tend to form communal webs, and some are minor pests in agriculture, forestry, and horticulture. Some of the adults are very attractive. Adult moths are minor pollinators. In Dutch: Stippelmot. Thank you very much for viewing, and for your lovely comments on my earlier upload. Wishing you a very nice day further.

It's a really nice catch there for some birds I hope - to have them for lunch, but it could also be a big feast :-) You did a real fine job Jacomina, but I find them a bit surreal, BB
