Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

A singularly uncolorful bunch although the yellow one at bottom right gives me some hope. And did you catch the number to its left with the ape hangers? Very cool image. Good idea to avoid the crowds as much as possible.

I'm just waiting for the next shot when they all come for their bikes at once! Hope your next trip to Nevada goes a bit better!

I have no clue why, but I suddenly have the urge to ride a bike! Must be a subliminal thing. What a shot! What shapes and colors. It all looks like a jumble at first and then you see this order emerge out of it all. Nice! Really well seen! Oh, and family drama! Yeah, people get gray hair because of that stuff! Heck, I once saw it make a guy start gnawing his own head off in an attempt to escape. It wasn't pretty.

Yes, definitely got the 79 Queen song going on up there in Brain-pan Radio...bicycle racers are coming your way/so forget all your duties/oh yeah/CHORUS/(guitar part), now it's morphing into "Fat Bottom Girls"... Great shot! Love the bird's eye view of all the chaos of wheels and different colored bodies. When I squint it vaguely resembles some kind of odd pasta. Mechanical Spaghetti-Os perhaps? Wonderful shot!

I remember when me and you rode our bikes in Livermore! that was a fun day :-) cool capture!
