My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Wow, an interesting detail. I would have never thought of photographing something like that Tara. I didn't know the ammo is arranged like that!

Not quite the kind of magazine that came to my mind. Excellent shot! Love the shapes, layers, and shine.

I suppose the magazine in this case would be Guns and Ammo. Quite attractive. Excellent eye and capture.

This obviously speaks volumes of different things to different people. I see the art...the gracefulness...the ingenuity of design. Form over function. I like it very much.

So very Tara; something so brutal becomes a marvelous work of art, complete with lovely light and perfect composition. Well done you!

It's the Arc of Serious Hurt! I love the way this is almost monotone except for the brass of the cartridges - a great "shot," Tara! :-D Sorry my comments are brief for now - I'm so far behind it hurts! Hope to be back up and running soon.

When I saw the title to this, and the thumbnail, I immediately began thinking: OMNI...Analog...Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine...Parabola...The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction...Life...Time...National Geographic...Ranger Rick...Astounding... and then it dawned on me that the magazines here were not of the pulp variety, not the venerable, the vanished, the popular and not-so-popular. I love the way in which my mind slipped and transposed one reality for another. This image really allows for that in so many different (and not so literal) ways. I love this image! I love the way it unhinges any expectations of it while also showing a gorgeous and graceful surprise. This is really super stuff, a step in the direction of turning guns into plows...or in this case, gun-eggs (a phrase coined by China Mieville in his novel, Kraken) into something less lethal. This is fantastic!

Beauty even in armaments ... Excellent composition!

Magazine arc becomes magazine art.....if you're going to pick one, pick a .50 cal. It's already been said but you give a thing of destruction,a look of beauty.Marvelous in a way only you could capture...thank you.
