Description

London is burning, and the crazy fires are spreading all over urban Britain. They look a re-make of the 1990s Los Angeles riots, when Uzi-armed Koreans defended their petty shops from the looters. In the news I saw Sikhs and Indian shopkeepers ready to protect their hard-earned properties from the rioters. Two days ago a Tunisian pusher was killed by another Tunisian at the poors'mess next door in my street, but this at least was a normal, ordinary crime, not the destruction spree I saw in the news. So I dedicate this sunset in Tenerife to all of us that can't understand this too realistic John Carpenter's Escape From L.A. Thanks for you kind comments.

problem is the people who demonstrate rightly are swept away by the shatheads who spread havoc for whatever reason. it takes only one half intelligent ape to get the rest of the brainless into a crowd and start destroying, beeing for social or racial reasons or even for a footballgame. because the real reasons for this uprising get lost in the looting and the looters are too stupid to realize, because they waste money now and this will cost a lot,and themselves they have to pay it one way or the other but in the roots nothing changes and the big issues will remain. with violence you change nothing anyway except produce more violence. makes me upset. back into the spackoworld quick...................

A beautiful scene that contrasts sharply with your words. It must be noted that the trouble began when police killed an apparently innocent local father after mistaking him for a criminal. His neighbors began a protest and marched in the streets. This was quickly taken over by thugs. Thugs have no political party, they are just thugs and should delt with as such. After the violence, the local people turned out to clean up the streets.

A vibrant capture. Yes, it's been a very bad week in UK. The riots didn't appear to be a protest but a looting spree, which set off a copy cat chain reaction. Horrendous scenes..but why? that demands answers..... Let's hope for a calm W/E

A splendid photo-shot with fantastic colors, dear Sandra. There is no respect for other people's stuff or even life. Hoping and praying things will go to normal behavior again soon.
