Well, “born” is not exactly right… this dragonfly – a male Southern Hawker just emerged from the exsuvia (see at the bottom of the picture) after three years’ development as an aquatic nymph… Seen last Sunday at our garden pond ! Cette grande libellule – une æschne bleue male (Aeshna cyanea) - vient juste d’émerger de son exsuvie (l’enveloppe est visible dans le bas de ma photo) Thank you very much for your comments on my previous upload: thumb_2233846.jpg "for Chrissy & Fred…"
