Description

The Broad-bodied Chaser, Libellula depressa, is one of the most common dragonflies in Europe and central Asia. It is very distinctive with a very broad flattened abdomen, four wing patches and, in the male, the abdomen becomes pruinose blue. Thank you very much for your comments on my previous upload:

With your help I was able to determine my lesser broad bodied chases a few weeks ago. This is the male isn´t it. Mine was a lady.. They should meet eachother :-).. A beautiful image this is.
