Description

Dear friends, today is a memorial day in Berlin - in this minutes Berlin stands still for a minute to remembering about one of the darkest days in our history - the building of an ugly wall to divide a three million inhabitant`s city into two pieces between communists and capitalists. In my personal life this was MY darkest day. We remembering the 136 victims who were killed in the streets of Berlin only for the crime to go from one neighbourhood to the next. This "building" between the two Germanys lasted 28 years and more then 1000 persons were killed. Somebody who build up a wall against his neighbor has lost soon, but he didn`t noticed..... Sixteen million east Germans soon got the shock of their lives as they soon realised that the west was not all the land of "Milk & Honey", & the grass is not always greener on the other side!!!

I read of this anniversary in our paper today and thought of you. No way can I understand the impact of that wall on you and other individuals. But I can care about what suffering it caused.
