Description

At first Thorin is not amused with the arrangements Silvara had made for his training, but he has agreed and will not go back on his word. After a few days, however, Thorin realizes Shandara is not the evil drow he had expected and begins to look forward to their sparring sessions. Her patience and understanding of his fierce pride soon humbles the man. He also develops a profound respect for her fighting prowess. On the second day, Thorin makes the mistake of stating, that if she loses her weapons, it's over. Shandara throws down her scimitars and quickly disarms Thorin barehanded. Executing lightning fast taps to two key pressure points in his shoulders, Shandara renders his arms numb and unresponsive. Unable to even pick up his sword, Thorin is quick to admit his misjudgement. On this bright and sunny day Shandara decides to test Thorins concentration. Removing her skirt and cape achieve the effect Shandara is looking for nicely. Her perfectly fitting elven chainmail leaves little to the imagination and Thorins ability to focus is visibly appearant. Thorin finally realizes the ploy and rushes in to try and catch Shandara off guard. A quick flip with a half twist puts Shandara with her back to Thorins charge and within sword range. Confused by the appearant vulnerability of Shandaras move, Thorin hesitates then finally swings his huge sword, thinking he has her. Shandara springs into a backflip over the reluctant barbarian and lands silently behind him. Thorin is rewarded with a sharp swat on the rump by the flat of Shandaras blade. She then states the words Thorin will remember for years to come. The words that save his life and the lives of his friends more than once. "You must never hesitate". Enjoy, -Arakas

A fantastic image in every sense! A superb job of posing and texturing. And I love how you've integrated the rendered characters with the background. The story is also wonderful. Not only is it entertaining, it develops the characters AND it is an excellent lesson to remember. Just think how many battles (and heroes) have been lost due to indecision. Shandara is not only gorgeous, fierce and skilled, she is also wise. She reminds me of Musashi and Sun Tzu, and that is the highest compliment for any warrior.
