UPDATED: September 19, 2010
Hi, My name is Bill and I am updating my homepage to reflect a wonderful event in my life...marriage, September 18, 2010, to my best friend Tara...known to many of you as auntietk here on Renderosity.
We "met" shortly after I joined Renderosity in August 2008. We share a love for photography and indeed all types of art.
We live north of Seattle and enjoy getting to share photographic excursions and information with other Renderositians ( is "Renderositians" even a word? ). LOL
As for me, it seems like I've been taking pictures all my life but I didn't get serious enough to purchase my first Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera until May 2008. In May 2009 I upgraded from an Olympus E-510 to an Olympus E-30 with a wide variety of lenses.
My subject areas of interest include absolutely everything but with a frequent return to airplanes, cars, tanks, etc., ...or as Tara says, machines that make lots of noise;-)
If you are curious, I am pictured above in a Grumman Corsair on a taxiway of the Kansas City Downtown Airport. I used to fly and train others to fly airplanes. That will explain my frequent forays into the world of aviation. Last but by no means least, thanks to Pannyhb for introducing me to Renderosity. The moment I saw it I was hooked.
Fine print: Yes, the photo above is a photo manipulation:-)

Very beautiful Bill, the green contrasts very well with the rocks. Tomorrow I will be uploading a shot from Bryce Canyon in Utah.

Superb! I wish there had been colour photos when I was doing A level Geography!

Just freakin' amazing, Bill! I love the clarity, and the colors are just to die for! Wow - I've gotta get out there one day..... In the meantime, maybe I can replicate this in Bryce, or even Vue if I ever get to a point where I have a clue what I'm doing... LOL! Beautifil photo, Bill!

Hmmm, I wonder how many times I've used that title. In any event, a stunning capture of the red rocks of Sedona (not Cydonia, the area on Mars), Bill. Although, the color, rugged surface and striations are out of this world in this pic.

They are so amazing! I can see why you fell in love...I've never seen them in person, but I'll bet you'd have to pry me off them with a big power machine. Beautiful iconic capture, Bill!

That link was fascinating! I've seen these and photographed similar areas but I had no idea about the complexity of the layers. Someday one very thin layer may be called the Smartphonica Age.

Have lived in Flagstaff, Phoenix and Tucson. So of course browsing the thumbnails I knew right away it had to be Sedona. Great place and image!

Incredible rock formation and image Bill!

Beautiful. Red and green contrats so nicely, also the blue. Of interest is the weathering - both vertical (rain water) and horizontal (wind and sand blasting). Keep up the good work! :-)
